That's my formal introduction.

As of the making of this course, I am 57 years old. My body has changed a lot in the last decade. I have had two very large babies who are now 30 and 35 years old. I had a busy but sedentary job for many years. Teaching in higher education required a lot of computer time. On top of that I never did a great job taking time to care for myself. I did the minimum amount of exercise I could get away with to function. I prioritized everything over that!

After 20 years in higher education, I decided to pursue my dream of having a private practice. Pivoting in my 50s was very scary, and many of my family, friends, and colleagues thought I was crazy. Well, maybe I was, but I LOVE what I'm doing and wouldn't change a thing.

What I teach in this course, I do myself. And I teach it to my clients. It works. I still don't love to exercise, but when I experience the benefits, I can't deny it is worth my time. I still try to get away with doing the absolute minimum I can and still feel great.

I have no intention of becoming an athlete, nor do I have hopes of regaining the body I had in my 20s. My goal is to maintain a body that serves me well. The kids you see in the pictures below are my grands. I want to keep up with them as long as I possibly can. I want to travel. I want to avoid injuries, and I want to be pain-free. I want to keep doing the work I love.

When you exercise with your fascia in mind and create a solid foundation, you can do so much more! Maybe even more than you think you can.

I'm cheering you on!

Amy
